Dr. Scott Schini received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 from the University of Wisconsin.  He practiced in Wisconsin and Chicago for 10 years before moving to Seattle in 2001 with his wife, Alice.  They live in the Maple Leaf neighborhood with their rambunctious collies, Mickey and Skye, as well as their curious kitties, Ollie, Simon, and Calvin.  In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, gardening, and visiting the local dog parks.

Prior to opening Maple Leaf Veterinary Care Center, Dr. Schini worked at an animal hospital in Kenmore, but it has always been his goal to open a friendly neighborhood clinic to serve the local community.   He envisioned creating an environment that focused on combining high quality veterinary medicine with great customer service.   He wanted to make Maple Leaf Veterinary Care Center a place where people and their pets were comfortable and enjoyed visiting.  Dr. Schini believes being a good veterinarian involves healing as well as providing comprehensive pet care education.  Preventative medicine emphasized by him and all members of the staff.  He likes to take the time to get to know the pets that make our neighborhood special, as well as their owners!
